Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Overview

People Welfare Scheme ("PWS", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to customer satisfaction. This Refund & Cancellation Policy describes your rights and our obligations in relation to the ₹500 product registration fee and starter kit purchase on our platform.

This policy is governed by the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

2. 30-Day Cooling-Off Period

In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Direct Selling) Rules, 2021, you have the right to cancel your membership and return the starter kit within 30 days of receiving it, without giving any reason.

  • Cancellation period: 30 days from the date of product receipt.
  • Refund amount: Full ₹500 registration fee, less any commissions already paid to your account.
  • Refund method: Refunded to your original UPI payment source within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned product.

3. How to Request a Refund

To cancel your membership and request a refund:

  1. Email support@peoplewelfarescheme.com with subject line: "Refund Request – [Your Username]"
  2. Include your registered mobile number, username, and reason for cancellation.
  3. Return the unopened/unused starter kit to our registered address within 7 days of raising the request.
  4. We will process your refund to the original UPI payment source within 5–7 business days of receiving the returned product.

4. Non-Refundable Items

The following are not eligible for refund:

  • Opened or used starter kit products.
  • Membership fees after the 30-day cooling-off period has expired.
  • Commission earnings already credited to your account.
  • UPI verification (₹1 penny drop) — this amount is automatically refunded by PhonePe within 3–5 business days and is not handled by PWS.

5. Cancellation by PWS

PWS reserves the right to cancel a membership if:

  • The member violates the Terms & Conditions.
  • Fraudulent activity or misrepresentation is detected.
  • The member is found to be conducting unauthorized activities.

In such cases, any pending commissions will be forfeited. The registration fee is non-refundable in cases of policy violations.

6. Payment Gateway Disputes

If you believe you were incorrectly charged via PhonePe:

  • Contact PhonePe support at phonepe.com/contact-us.
  • Simultaneously notify us at support@peoplewelfarescheme.com.
  • We will cooperate fully with the payment dispute resolution process.

7. Grievance Redressal

If you are not satisfied with our refund decision, you may escalate to our Grievance Officer:
